The Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are inspired by God; the revelation of God to man; the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
(2 Tim. 3:15-17)
The Eternal Godhead
We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has been revealed as One God existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; coeternal, coequal; One God in three persons.
(Matt. 28:19)
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. We believe that he died on the cross, was buried and on the third day was bodily resurrected. We believe that He personally appeared to the disciples and bodily ascended into heaven to the right hand of His Father.
(John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Rom. 4:25)
Salvation
We believe in salvation by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary. (Eph. 2:8-9; Heb. 9:12, 22; Rom. 5:21)
Water Baptism and Holy Communion
We believe and practice two ordinances –
(1)Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and
(2)Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
(Matt. 3:13-17,Mark 14:22-25)
Resurrection
We believe in the resurrection of believers into everlasting life and blessing in Heaven and the resurrection of unbelievers into everlasting punishment in the torments of Hell.
(John 3:16; John 5:24; Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thess. 1:9; Rev. 20:10-15; John 5:28-29; 1 Cor.15:51-52)
The Return of Jesus Christ
We believe in the personal, literal and bodily return of Jesus Christ in power and glory as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
(1 Thess. 4:13-18; Zech. 14:5; Matt. 24:27, 30; Rev.1:7; Rev. 19:11-14; Rev. 20:1-6)
